Release 3.1 (Tech Release 1.25)
🟢 Platform: Send Emails Directly from Automation Workflows
Marketers can now trigger automation workflows and compose the email inside Pelcro — no webhook handlers or parallel ESP template library required.
✅ What's New:
- "Send Email (via Pelcro)" is now available as an action alongside the existing webhook notification
- Built-in rich text email composer with subject and body fields, supporting markdown formatting
- Insert-variable picker with a searchable, grouped panel of customer, subscription, invoice, event, and site fields — inserted as styled chips
- Preview and test send against real sample customers from the segment
- For scheduled automations on event-based segments, sends default to customers who newly entered the segment, preventing repeat outreach
🎯 Impact:
Marketers can now launch behavior-driven campaigns—such as dunning reminders—directly within Pelcro, without relying on custom development.
🟢 Platform: Renewal Summary Report
We've introduced a purpose-built Renewal Summary Report that gives you forward-looking visibility into upcoming renewals, replacing manual exports and ad hoc queries.
✅ What's New:
- Per-month renewal cohorts with 17 columns covering counts, rates, and projected revenue
- Renewal counts and rates split by renewal type (auto vs. manual) and collection method (charge automatically vs. send invoice)
- Projected revenue broken out by renewal type, with expected-to-expire revenue reported separately
- At-Risk Revenue column flagging renewals whose default payment method expires within the selected window
- Product Name filter to read renewals per product, plus full CSV export of the dataset
🎯 Impact:
Finance and operations teams gained a single, on-platform view to forecast cash flow and surface at-risk churn before renewal dates.
Note: The report is forward-looking only. Historical actuals, refunds, and mid-cycle plan changes are excluded from projections; payment-method risk is based on the stored card expiry date, not real-time issuer verification.
🟢 Platform: Unified Reports Hub
All reports now live on a single, categorized Reports page, ending the split across Health, Accounting, and General Reports sections under Analytics.
✅ What's Improved:
- Every existing report is consolidated into one view, grouped by category
🎯 Impact:
All reports are now available in one centralized, better-organized location.
🟢 Platform: Expanded Sales Representative Role
We've rebalanced the Sales Representative role to give reps the read, export, and deal-making access they need while keeping billing and subscription changes with Customer Service.
✅ What's Improved:
- Sales reps can now create and edit coupons to support deals
- Added view access to product details, invoices (with download), and subscriptions
- Granular management of customers, organizations, and addresses, plus customer export and password-reset actions
- The standard import tool has been removed from the Sales Rep role
🎯 Impact:
Sales teams gained the visibility and coupon tooling to drive new business, without exposing sensitive billing operations.
🟢 Platform: Reorganized Settings Page
The Settings page has been restructured into clear, workflow-based groups aligned to the setup and operational journey.
✅ What's Improved:
- Settings are now organized into grouped sections: Setup, Payments, Team & Developers, Operations, and Security
- Existing permissions, functionality, and breadcrumbs remain unchanged
🎯 Impact:
Admins can find and configure settings faster, with less confusion during onboarding and day-to-day management.
🟢 Open API: Introduce Google One Tap Login
Pelcro now supports Google One Tap login, a single-click sign-in and registration method that reduces authentication friction.
✅ What's New:
- Google One Tap is available as a supported authentication method
- Can be enabled or disabled from admin settings
- Works consistently with existing Google Social Login accounts
- Supported in both the JS SDK and the default UI
🎯 Impact:
Publishers can reduce sign-in friction and improve conversion with a faster, one-click authentication option.

🟢 Platform: Configurable Newsletter Section Default
You can now control whether the Newsletter section is expanded by default on your website.
✅ What's New:
- New
expandNewsletterSectionsetting in the UI configuration - When enabled, the Newsletter section is expanded by default; when disabled, it's collapsed
- Existing sites keep their current behavior unless the setting is explicitly configured
🎯 Impact:
Publishers can tailor the Newsletter experience to their audience and content strategy.

🟢 Platform: Modernized Plans & Paywall Pages
The Plans view, create, and edit pages have been updated to match the platform's standardized UI.
✅ What's Improved:
- Layout, spacing, typography, buttons, and form components now align with platform design standards
- Responsive behavior is consistent with other pages
🎯 Impact:
Platform users get a consistent, intuitive experience across the Plans and Paywall configuration flows.
🟢 Platform: Coupon Name Added to Subscription-by-Coupon Export
The Subscription by Coupon report export now identifies which coupon was applied to each sale.
✅ What's Improved:
- Added a Coupon Name column to the exported report
🎯 Impact:
Teams can now attribute sales to specific coupon campaigns directly from the export, without manual lookups.
🟢 Platform: Improved Password Reset Flow
The password reset form now prevents duplicate submissions after a reset completes or a token error occurs on your website.
✅ What's Improved:
- The form is disabled after a successful reset or after an invalid, expired, or consumed token error
- Clear success and error messages remain visible
🎯 Impact:
Users get a clearer outcome on password reset, avoiding duplicate requests and unnecessary API calls.
🟢 Platform: Address Cleansing Activity Log
We've added detailed logging for address cleansing so activity can be measured and billed accurately.
✅ What's New:
- A new address cleansing log records every cleanse attempt — including no-ops and errors, not just successful writes
- Each entry captures the account, site, outcome, and timestamp
- Activity can be counted per account and per month, filterable by outcome
🎯 Impact:
Teams gained a reliable usage record to bill accurately for address validation with confidence.
🟢 Platform: Longer Subscription Plan Intervals
Publishers on Pelcro's subscription engine can now create plans with billing intervals beyond 3 years, unlocking long-term and lifetime offerings.
✅ What's Improved:
- The legacy 3-year maximum interval has been lifted for native-engine plans
- Longer intervals are supported across both the plan API and the plan configuration form
🎯 Impact:
Publishers can now offer multi-year and lifetime subscription options to their audiences.
🟢 Platform: [FIX] Add Offline Payment for Support Users
Support users can now record offline payments, so cheques and other manual payments can be logged without escalating.
✅ What's Improved:
- The "Add offline payment" action is now available to the Support role
🎯 Impact:
Customer Service teams can record manual payments directly, reducing handoffs and speeding up reconciliation.
🟢 Analytics: Expanded Event Tracking in Customer Activity
We've significantly broadened the range of customer interactions captured in Customer Activity, adding intent, checkout, cart, and engagement events that were previously untracked or only available in third-party analytics.
✅ What's New:
- Funnel & intent: Plan Viewed, Product Viewed, Checkout Started, and Checkout Abandoned — giving full visibility into where customers drop off before subscribing
- Coupons: Coupon Applied and Coupon Rejected, with the code and reason captured
- Cancellation intent: Subscription Cancel Started and Cancel Reason Selected — capturing intent and reasons even when a customer backs out
- Subscription lifecycle: Suspended and Unsuspended events now surfaced in Customer Activity
- eCommerce: Cart Viewed, Cart Item Added/Removed, Order Started, and Order Abandoned
- Gifts & members: Gift Create Started, Gift Redeem Started, Member Invited, and Member Removed
- Engagement & identity: Saved/Followed and Unsaved/Unfollowed items, Profile Picture and Address updates, and a distinct Inline Paywall Displayed event
🎯 Impact:
Publishers gain a complete view of the customer journey — from first plan view through checkout, abandonment, and post-purchase engagement — unlocking richer funnel analysis and precise remarketing triggers like checkout and order abandonment.
🟢 Core API: Introduce Verify Address Endpoint
A new Verify Address endpoint (POST /api/v1/core/addresses/verify) validates and standardizes a US address via USPS CASS without saving it. Accepting either a free-form string or individual components, it returns the corrected address plus parsed components, a Delivery Point Validation (DPV) result, and postal routing metadata — ideal for verifying an address before saving or powering a real-time verification experience. US-only; requires the USPS Address Verification feature enabled on your account.
