Release 3.2 (Tech Release 1.26)
π’ Platform: AI Customer Support (Voice Agent)
We've introduced a Voice AI Agent that lets subscribers call a dedicated phone number and self-serve account tasks β from identification through account actions β without waiting for a live agent.
β
What's New:
- Dedicated phone number setup β account owners can select a country and area, view available numbers, and generate a dedicated Voice AI Agent number directly from Settings, shown as read-only once saved.
- Caller authentication β inbound callers are identified by their phone number and verified with a one-time code (via SMS) before any account data is shared.
- Supported account actions β verified callers can hear their account details, subscription status, balance, renewal date, and invoice information, and can cancel a subscription β all executed securely through Pelcro's Open API.
- Automatic call-to-ticket creation β when a call ends, the transcript, customer details, and call reference are automatically captured into a ticket and linked to the matching account, with duplicate prevention and retry handling.
π― Impact:
Subscribers can resolve common account requests over the phone at any hour, while support teams get an automatic, searchable record of every call β reducing manual ticketing and freeing agents for higher-value work.
π’ Platform: Ask the AI Agent About Customer Activity
The AI Agent is now integrated with the Customer Activity experience, so you can ask natural-language questions about behavior and acquisition without manually reviewing activity logs or exporting data.
β
What's New:
- Ask questions directly within Customer Activity, such as which referrers or pages are driving the most new subscribers, how many registrations or newsletter signups occurred in a period, and top-viewed pages.
- Surface conversion insights like conversions this month, conversion rate by device type, and subscriptions from mobile vs. desktop.
- Summarize an individual customer's journey (e.g. everything a customer did before subscribing or canceling).
π― Impact:
Teams get answers to acquisition and conversion questions in seconds, directly where the data lives.
π’ Platform: Customer Activity Metrics & Acquisition Funnel
We've added an overview band and acquisition funnel to the Customers Activity page so you can read conversion at a glance instead of exporting and joining data externally.
β
What's New:
- Four summary cards β Paywall Views, Overall Conversion, Checkout Abandonment, and Renewal Rate β scoped to the active date range.
- An Acquisition Funnel (Paywall Displayed β Plan Viewed β Checkout Started β Registered β Subscription Created) with counts and step-to-step conversion rates.
- A Top Converting Pages list ranking page paths by attributed subscriptions (top 10).
- Click any card, funnel step, or page to filter the activity list to the matching events; the page's existing date filter recalculates everything, and exports respect active filters.
π― Impact:
Marketing and analytics teams can drill from a headline number straight to the customers behind it β no CSV exports or external joins required.
π’ Platform: Longer Login Sessions
We've extended session persistence so business users aren't asked to log in as frequently during normal daily use.
β
What's Improved:
- Remember Me now persists sessions for 30 days (up from 7), aligning with common B2B SaaS standards.
- Existing authentication and security controls are unchanged.
π― Impact:
Daily platform users log in far less often, cutting repetitive password entry without weakening account security.
π’ Platform: Schedule Subscription Suspensions in the Default UI
The Default UI now matches Platform behavior by letting customers schedule a suspension for a future date rather than only suspending immediately.
β
What's New:
- Added an effective-date picker to the suspension flow in the Default UI.
- Past dates are blocked, and the selected date is shown in the confirmation step.
- If no future date is chosen, the suspension takes effect immediately (existing behavior).
- The scheduled suspension is reflected on the subscription details page.
π― Impact:
Customers get consistent suspension scheduling across Pelcro interfaces, and can plan suspensions in advance.
π’ Platform: Optional Billing Address When Adding Payment Methods
Adding a payment method on the platform no longer requires a billing address, speeding up the flow for gateways and use cases that don't need it.
β
What's Improved:
- Billing address fields are now optional when adding a new payment method.
π― Impact:
Admins can save payment methods faster while retaining the option to capture billing details when needed.
π’ Platform: Account Owner Permission for Collaborators
A new Account Owner permission lets platform owners grant an admin collaborator full owner-level access β including integrations, API keys, account settings, and destructive actions β without changing day-to-day Admin roles.
β
What's New:
- Added an Account Owner permission to the collaborator form.
- When enabled, the admin collaborator gains the same permissions as an owner.
π― Impact:
Owners can safely delegate high-privilege responsibilities to trusted admin collaborators while keeping standard Admins scoped to operational tasks.
π’ Platform: Separate Automation Magic Link Duration + Hourly Passwordless Options
Automation magic links can now use their own token duration, independent of the standard passwordless login flow, so automation emails don't expire while sitting unopened in an inbox.
β
What's New:
- A new Automation Passwordless Token Duration setting in automation Settings, configurable separately from the standard Passwordless Link Duration.
- Requests can specify
token_type=campaignto use the longer campaign TTL; requests without it behave exactly as today. - Hours-based options (e.g. 1h, 6h, 12h, 24h) are now available alongside day-based durations.
π― Impact:
Site owners can give automations links a longer lifespan while keeping tight, unchanged expiry on standard website logins.
Note: If the automation duration isn't set, it falls back to the existing Passwordless Link Duration. The standard passwordless flow, SDK, and React Elements are unchanged.
π’ Default UI: Quantity Support in the Subscription Purchase Flow
The checkout flow now supports buying multiple units of a subscription plan in a single purchase.
β
What's New:
- Add a quantity for a subscription plan at checkout, with pricing calculated as plan price Γ quantity.
- Units share the same address in a single checkout.
π― Impact:
Enables bulk scenarios like a school purchasing subscriptions for an entire classroom in one transaction.
π’ Platform: Renewal Summary Report Tooltips
We've added explanatory tooltips to the Renewal Summary Report so metrics are easier to interpret.
β
What's New:
- Tooltip icons on applicable column headers with a clear description of each metric.
- Descriptions are product-reviewed and consistent with the design system and accessibility standards.
π― Impact:
Platform users can understand exactly what each renewal metric represents without leaving the report.
π’Platform: Per-Issue Fulfillment Price in Exports
Fulfillment exports now include an allocated per-issue value, supporting customs and compliance requirements for publishers shipping physical products into the EU.
β
What's New:
- New
issue_pricecolumn reflecting the paid subscription amount (including coupons) divided across remaining shipments. - Example: a $100 plan with 10 shipments yields an issue price of $10.
π― Impact:
Publishers can produce shipment and customs documentation with an accurate declared value per item, reducing audit risk in EU markets.
π’Platform: Current Phase Campaign Key in Subscriptions Export
The subscriptions export now includes a current_phase_campaign_key column for accurate campaign attribution on multi-phase and renewed subscriptions.
β
What's New:
- New
current_phase_campaign_keycolumn reflecting the campaign key of the currently active phase, distinct from the originalcampaign_key. - The column is empty (not error) when the current phase has no campaign key.
π― Impact:
Admins can attribute each subscription to the campaign driving its current phase, rather than only the campaign at original creation.
Note: The new column is read-only and does not replace the existingcampaign_key; phase history is out of scope.
π’ Core API: Import Invoices With Tax Rates and Amounts
The Core API import invoice endpoint now accepts client-provided tax rates and tax amounts, so migrated invoices retain their original billing history.
β
What's New:
- Import invoices with supplied tax rates and tax amounts intact rather than having them ignored.
π― Impact:
The migration team can complete accurate data migrations that reflect a client's real historical billing.
π’ Platform: Auto-Assign Default Shipping Address to Group Members
Group subscription members now have their address automatically propagated to the member record, fixing a gap where addresses added by members didn't appear in fulfillment exports.
β
What's Improved:
- When a shipping address is created for a member of an active (non-pending, non-expired) membership, it's automatically assigned as the default shipping address on the member record until changed manually.
π― Impact:
Group members reliably receive shipments without manual re-saving of addresses in the memberships section.
π’ Integrations: Omeda Subscription Lifecycle Events
The Omeda Core integration now syncs subscription lifecycle events in addition to customer events, keeping Omeda up to date without manual reconciliation.
β
What's New:
- Outbound webhooks for
customer.created,customer.updated,subscription.created,subscription.updated,subscription.canceled, andsubscription.expired. - Delivery includes retry logic and delivery logging.
π― Impact:
Customer and subscription records stay consistent between Pelcro and Omeda, eliminating manual data cleanup.
π’ SDK: Arabic Locale Support
The JS SDK now recognizes Arabic (ar) as a supported locale and forwards it for server-side content instead of silently falling back to English.
β
What's New:
- Arabic browser/page settings (
navigator.languageor<html lang="ar">) now resolvewindow.Pelcro.languagetoar.
π― Impact:
Arabic-speaking visitors can be served localized paywalls and emails from the API/paywall layer.
Note: The SDK resolves and forwards the locale only; Arabic copy and RTL rendering are delivered server-side.
π’ Infrastructure: Shipping Rate Agent Migrated to AWS Bedrock
The Shipping Rate Agent now runs on AWS Bedrock foundation models, aligning AI processing with our cloud infrastructure strategy.
β
What's Improved:
- Shipping rate recommendations are processed through Bedrock with equivalent models, validated against prior response quality.
- Existing shipping rate workflows continue without regression, with added error handling, logging, and monitoring.
π― Impact:
Improved infrastructure alignment, security, and long-term scalability with no change to the existing user experience.
