Below are the steps required to bill the group owner.
- Create a product called "Group owners".
- Create a pricing plan in the "Group owners" product with the agreed-upon billing terms. Add a descriptive name and description to the plan.
- Create a customer account for the group owner.
- Create a subscription under the group owner and select the pricing plan previously created. You can either charge them on a CC if one is available or an invoice will be sent to them.
The steps above ensure that the group owners' plans are separated in order for it to be easily separated for future reporting requirements.
Below are the steps required to set up the group users in order to provide them with access to the group plan and its associated benefits.
- Create a product called "Group users".
- Create a pricing plan in the "Group users" product with the agreed-upon access terms. Add a descriptive name and description to the plan.
Depending on your distribution strategy, you have two options:
a. Free plan - with a free plan, you can use the import tool to process the subscriptions. The requirement here is that a list of group users would need to be provided in order for it to be processed.
b. Paid plan - with a paid plan, you can distribute coupon codes to the group users. You would create the pricing plan with the normal pricing you would have provided this access for and then create a 100% discounted coupon for the group users to get it for free. The advantage here is that you don't have to request a list of users to provide the subscription to and you also don't need to process it with the import tool.
⋅⋅1 You can create one coupon code and set a max number of redemptions so that the coupon code wouldn't overused. For example, for a company XYZ with 50 users - you can create one coupon code called "XYZCOUPONCODE" that can only be redeemed 50 times.
⋅⋅2 Another option is to use the Pelcro core API to create unique coupon codes that can only be redeemed once. This makes it harder for the redemption codes to be shared and overused. The unique coupon codes would need to be shared with the group users separately, this can be done in an email marketing campaign. If you need help with this step, just reach out to your account manager and the team will be able to create this for you (additional fees may apply).
Following the strategy outline above, it makes it very easy to clearly identify and segment all the different owners and users of the group subscriptions. All our reports and exports are easily segmented by-products or plans, making it easy to do any type of analysis on your group subscriptions.
IP and domain access for group users can also be configured on each plan. The same product and plan configuration above is recommended. The only difference is that using the IP and domain, we would automatically create the subscriptions once the validation of IP or domain is successful. Once the IP or domain validation is successful, we would automatically create a subscription for the group user with one of the defined group plans.
